Jimmy Owen Sullivan, born in Huntington Beach California on December 11, 1981 better known as The Rev or The Reverend Tholomew Plague. He was the drummer for Avenged Sevenfold until the end of his life.Age 10 years, The Rev has had his own drum, and in just a short time he was able to play "The Black Page" with students in the percussion ensemble conducted by the teacher.He joined Avenged Sevenfold as well as the founder, while he was still in high school. "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" was the first song they recorded. The Rev terinfluence with such a great drummer Vinnie Paul, Mike Portnoy, and Terry Bozzio. His death was reported as natural causes, but an autopsy conducted on December 30, 2009 results are inconclusive. On June 9, 2010, the cause of death was revealed after acute polydrug intoxication due to combined effects of oxycodone (OxyContin), Oxymorphone (metabolite of oxycodone), diazepam (Valium), Nordiazepam (metabolite of diazepam) and alcohol. Cardiomegaly (enlarged heart) was reported as a "significant condition" that may be the primary cause of death.On January 5, 2010, a private funeral was held for Sullivan, and a day later he was buried in Huntington Beach, California. Avenged Sevenfold dedicated their fifth album, Nightmare, to Sullivan.
